Fishing in the Sussex region has been largely good with some nice shore catches of  Plaice with anglers such as Peter Cornwall, Ed Holyoake and Michael Moule catching some lovely fish from Eastbourne beaches. From the Kayaks the fishing has also been very good with Gary Willis catching plenty of lovely plaice as well as a few nice thornbacks. Matt Gifford has also had some nice fish from his kayak recently including not only plaice but a nice bass as well !  From the local boats out of Eastbourne Marina Peter Lavington has enjoyed some good plaice sessions on his own  boat as well as catching some thornback ray and a nice bass! Anthony Collins caught a lovely double figure pollack recently also from Eastbourne Marina.

At night from the shore along Eastbourne beaches plenty of dogfish are being caught along with some nice thornback rays. Luke and Tim Ripley had some nice thornbacks, Lukes biggest 8lb 10oz and Tims 5lb. Mark Saxby managed to catch his first ever thornback and then caught a second one soon after!!Kevin Morgan also managed a PB thornback of 9lb 8oz recently and Ollie Franks caught a 4lb 8oz ray !!

Although the May Rot !! will be in about now the fishing hs been good for this time of year and shortly we can look forward to the arrival of the sole and smoothhounds.!!
