Lymington report by John Skeggs, Last Laugh Charters
Good to be back !
What seems to be an eternity, we are gradually coming out of lockdown, a relief for both skippers and customers, as a skipper that now means we can now take up to 6 passengers fishing again.
Spring has arrived with the first run of Plaice.
This time of year the water is very dirty,so it is far better to anchor for the Plaice.
A trace loaded with bling and a cocktail of rag, black lug, prawn and squid is sure guarantee for a quick result.
Rumour has it, that the Pollack are on the wrecks, i’m hoping to find out in the coming weeks.
For those who want to venture offshore, there are plenty of Blonde rays and Spurdogs , a recent venture with Stainless Steve saw rod benders all day. Steve landed the biggest Blonde, just shy off 24lb whilst I landed a spurdog around 20lb. All the fish were returned.
I’m looking forward to offering you some great fishing this year, Bream,Trigger Fish, Bass,Rays,Pollack,Cod, what ever you would like to target my diary is now open.
