Thames Estuary Report July 2021

Thames Estuary report by Lee Bollingbroke

Well we hardly finish a months report and we are around to another we thought last month was busy and this month is proving just as busy the virus has not hit our business at all other than made it three times busier than normal it has been crazy, we have a few new charter boats in the harbour  and they are also as busy they probably think its always this busy but will probably get a shock once everyone is back to work and things get back to normal as it will eventually but it has given them a springboard into the industry  we hope and its good for the harbour and our area bringing new custom to Brightlingsea. Fishing has been great and all of our bass trips have been very successful and well supported,  general fishing has also been just as good with rays hounds tope sting rays and bass plentiful and with the increase in charter boats in Brightlingsea we are now  one of East Coast’s premier ports to go too for your fishing charters and much easier to get to being just off the A12 near Colchester and with a floating causeway easy access to the boats for pickup in and out in all tides step on and step off and a car park at the end of the causeway what more could you want.
